ROUGH CUT FEEDBACK: REMINISCE

Our rough cut for our film opening is nearly complete, however there are certain things that need to be put in place before we can make it our finished product.

For instance, I put a soundtrack together that suits the concept and nature of the film opening. However it wasn't put in the rough cut due to the focus on editing, it will be put in her final piece though.

We also need to put in a scene that we done in our opening to make it complete. We have already filmed it and are in the process of editing. This scene will be place after the credits where the black is black for a long time. Foley sound will also be put in as we have recorded our own already.

Colour will also be added to give it a mysterious feel. We will use black and white features as they are classic colours.

The editing is also good, however to make it perfect we are aiming to make the edits tighter and more slick so it adds tension as well as making it realistic.

We are also going to change the credits so our names all come up once so again it is more realistic.

Despite this, there are good and key features that have already made our film opening effective. For instance, our title sequence of the credits are effective as the speed suits the pace of the film opening. Also the black backgrounds add a dark and gloomy tone to the scene. The costume also adds tension to the scene as the killer's (Victoria) clothing adds darkness to the scene which adds mysteriousness to the scene. Black is associated with power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery. It is a mysterious color associated with fear and the unknown. It usually has a negative connotation. It links in with the film as her character had power and authority and was the killer.

Saskie wore white a white t-shirt and white socks to as white is associated with goodness, innocence, purity. We used these colours as they showed good vs evil in the best way.
