Evaluation - Technologies (Q6)

When creating out Film we used a number of technologies to help us. Considering we had been so daring as to choose a difficult stylised editing the majority of technology used was in final cut pro.

Changing Colour.

For our flashback, to make it clearer, saskie and me decided that we wanted to change the colour to something a bit different so that the audience would not be confused and know that it happened in a different time. Firstly on the clip of the flashback scene we went to video effects and searched for colour transitions and clicked on tint, and then from the deep brown it changed to we tried out different colours such as, back, red, green and blue but chose a lighter brown. We made it lighter by changing the intensity. Once the first clip was perfected, we copied and pasted the filters onto the other flashback scene clips, and pasted the attributes

Split Screen

In order to create a split screen, I first watched a YouTube tutorial on how to do it as the teachers able to help us with this, were in high demand from the rest of the class. First we put the two clips that we wanted to be in the split scene in the editing bar, on top of each other in two different video lines. Then you click the 'image and wire frame' tap and change the size of each video so they can both be seen. First the one clip that you can see on top, then the clip behind. Once both are viewable you can them position them how you want. Then Render.
