Inspiration 2

"Mesrine" is a two-part (Mesrine: Killer Instinct and Mesrine: Public Enemy Number One) 2008 French film directed by Jean-François Richet and written by Abdel Raouf Dafri and Richet. The first part's script was based on the autobiographical book L'instinct de mort by French gangster Jacques Mesrine, while the second part detailed Mesrine's criminal career after his escape from prison, and his subsequent brutal referred to as the French version of the American film Scarface which starred Al Pacino.

As a group we got nspiration from Mezrine. In our opening credits we used the idea of having the scenes set out as boxes just like how Mesrine starts. I think that this was a good way to open a film like ours as it shows the different points of view of the killer. We also chose to use this as it was different to how most thriller films start. The sequence allowed us to be more creative as we thought about what scene would work best to be shown right at the beginning.
