Inspriration: Thriller Sub Genre

The thriller sub genre that has inspired us the most are psychological thrillers. Psychological thrillers is a specific sub genre of the broad ranged thriller with heavy focus on characters. However, it often incorporates elements from the mystery and drama genre, along with the typical traits of the thriller genre. In addition to drama and mystery, many psychological thrillers contain elements of, and often overlap with, the horror genre, particularly psychological horror.

We have chosen this sub genre as we believe that this is the one sub genre that creates the most suspence and leaves the audience wondering about how certains things were done. Psychological thrillers such as
"Fatal Attraction" 1987, build up suspense throughout the film which makes it appealing to watch for the audience. The film focuses on happily married New York lawyer Dan Callagher has an affair with his colleague Alex, and the two enjoy a love weekend while Dan’s wife and kid are away. But Alex will not let go of him, and she will stop at nothing to have him for herself.
