The opening of the film "Se7en" starts off with a book flicking open. This connotes that there is a story to be told as it is a book. This could also symbolise that the story may be a mystery as no one in particular is turning the pages. This also connotes a sense of a crime that is set to be solved. Books also connote a sense of high level of intelligence, this could suggests that a detective will somehow solve a crime.
